Brief Bio
Dr. Fakhrmoosavi holds a Ph.D. and MSc in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University, with her Ph.D. completed in 2021. She also earned an MSc and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Sharif University of Technology. Prior to her role at UConn, she served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Texas at Austin. Her research primarily focuses on enhancing transportation systems by addressing mobility, sustainability, and reliability. Her work involves traffic simulation, sustainable transportation, travel demand modeling, shared mobility, and transportation data analysis using advanced methods. She has served as a Guest Editor in different journals, including Transportation Research Part D: Transport and Environment. She has co-authored more than 20 journal papers and book chapters on different topics of Transportation Engineering. She has also served as a Principal Investigator for multiple projects funded by state and Federal agencies.
