Adrian Weidmann

Adrian Weidmann is a dedicated engineering professional with extensive experience in both risk engineering and higher education. She has been an adjunct professor at the University of Connecticut for over a decade, teaching Orientation to Engineering (ENGR 1000) and Foundations of Engineering (ENGR 1166) around her primary career obligations.

Beyond academia, Weidmann has had a distinguished career in property risk engineering for over 20 years. As a director of risk engineering, recently at Loss Control Services and currently at Everest Insurance, she has led risk engineering and quality assurance consultants across the U.S. and Canada, overseeing commercial property risk assessments, implementing quality control processes, training field consultants, and collaborating between many insurance carriers and brokerage firms to enhance risk management strategies. At Everest, she brings both her property risk experience, and her teaching skills, and is helping grow their risk engineering knowledge base and market share.

Weidmann is also an active STEM advocate and mentor. She volunteers with New England FIRST, has served as an alumni advisor for Phi Sigma Rho, and was a key organizer of the first Husky Robotics Invitational at UConn in 2023. Weidmann uses her knowledge in industry and academia to inspire future professionals in engineering and risk management, especially young girls.

With a passion for education, risk engineering, and STEM, Weidmann excels at bridging the gap between academia and industry, empowering students and professionals alike with practical knowledge and leadership.
