Reza Amin


Reza Amin is the founder of Bastion Health, a leading digital platform revolutionizing male health through cutting-edge technology. He also co-founded Encapsulate, a startup focusing on improving chemotherapy precision. In partnership with NASA and the International Space Station, Encapsulate is conducting a cancer study in space to gather insights that could enhance cancer treatment on Earth. He founded Bastion Health in 2018, with a vision of providing private at-home diagnostics and virtual care for men’s health. Since 2013, he has been involved in designing and developing digital health technologies and at-home diagnostic tools to make healthcare more accessible and affordable. Bastion Health success has led to its recognition among The Top-100 Healthcare Technology Companies of 2023, by The Healthcare Technology Report.

Amin has a B.S. degree in electronics; a M.S. degree and Ph.D. in mechanical engineering; and a Masters in Engineering degree in global entrepreneurship. His educational training and research activities provided him with a strong background in multiple disciplines including engineering, business and healthcare. His research, primarily focused on medical devices and health technology has resulted in many patents, research articles, and book chapters in revered Biomedical Engineering scientific journals.

Amin also has won several competitions and fellowships. In 2022, The Healthcare Technology Report named him one of The Top-25 Healthcare Technology Leaders of Connecticut for 2022, and the Hartford Business Journal included him in their prestigious ’40 Under Forty’ list, recognizing his entrepreneurial spirit and substantial contributions to healthcare.
