Brief Bio

Dr. Jasna Jankovic is an Associate Professor in the Department of Materials Science & Engineering at the University of Connecticut (UConn), and a core faculty member of the Center for Clean Energy Engineering (C2E2). Her expertise lies in the development and application of advanced imaging and spectroscopy techniques, particularly in the context of clean energy technologies like fuel cells, electrolyzers, and batteries. She also researches 3D material design and imaging, advanced nanomaterials for clean energy, electrospinning, and templating nature-inspired designs for energy applications. 

Beyond research, Dr. Jankovic is dedicated to education and outreach. She incorporates entrepreneurship aspects into her engineering classes and provides research experiences for both undergraduate students and high school teachers in her lab. Her teaching style is described as supportive, inclusive, and tailored to individual learning styles, according to student feedback.
