Dr. Adam Markman (B.S. ’11, M.Sc. ’14, Ph.D. ’18) earned his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering and his master’s and doctorate degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Connecticut. As a graduate researcher in the MOSIS Lab under Dr. Bahram Javidi, he specialized in 3D optical imaging techniques across applications in biology, security, and passive real-world sensing, authoring over twenty publications and contributing to five patents.

After UConn, Markman worked in Boston at a contract research organization, where he led imaging analysis for preclinical studies. He is currently a Senior Scientist Manager at Procter & Gamble – Gillette in Boston, where he leads cross-functional teams applying artificial intelligence and advanced imaging to solve critical shaving challenges and drive product innovation at a global scale.

Markman credits UConn with shaping both his professional and personal development, providing the foundation for his continued work at the intersection of science, technology, and consumer innovation.
