John Augustyn
John Augustyn earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Connecticut (1979), as well as his M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Hartford. John is the President and owner of Pyramid Time Systems, a role he has held for 17 years. He has also worked as the Vice President of Operations for the Walbro Corporation/Whitehead Engineered Products and as the General Manager for Meriden. As President at Pyramid, John is responsible for the company’s strategic direction. He oversees the implementation of new products and is responsible for developing a strong management team. At Walbro Corporation/Whitehead Engineered Products, John was responsible for managing six manufacturing facilities in North America that employed over 1,500 people and accounted for over $400 million in sales. Walbro, now owned by TI Automotive, is a worldwide manufacturer of automotive fuel systems that works with all major car companies. John started Whitehead Engineered Products with two partners. They developed and patented a device for a fuel injection system that was installed on all Ford light trucks. John is a past President of the Board of Directors at the United Way of Meriden & Wallingford. He is currently the President of the Board of Directors at the Community Foundation of Central Connecticut and has served for several years on the Executive Board of the Meriden YMCA.
