Brief Bio

Dr. Kim is a professor in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Connecticut. He has been on the faculty there since 2004, first as an Assistant Professor, then Associate Professor, and currently as Professor. He earned his Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Kim has received several awards, including the National Science Foundation CAREER Award in 2006, an ASEE Air Force Summer Faculty Fellowship in 2010.
