Brief Bio

Dr. Chen joined the department of Mechanical Engineering as an Assistant Professor-in-Residence in August 2022. She received her Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University (2021), and dual M.S. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from The Pennsylvania State University (2018). She obtained her B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Southeast University, China (2016). Her research focuses on data analytics, statistical learning, system identification and uncertainty quantification, and modeling and analysis of complex systems. She is currently working on privacy and security, along with human-machine teaming in advanced manufacturing systems.
